Picture's Uuuuuuuu makes a strength of its consistent scale, sustaining a coherent sequence across seven extended tracks.
Released through Short Span on 17 July 2026, Uuuuuuuu is the work of Aarhus-based Natal Zaks as Picture. Its seven pieces occupy a relatively narrow range of lengths, each running between roughly six and seven and a half minutes. That consistency serves the album well.
From Quuuuuu onwards, the extended forms encourage continuity. The pieces have enough space to establish themselves while remaining part of a cohesive sequence. Their similar proportions feel appropriate to the music and give the album a settled overall shape.
