Zora Jones — Angel Crisis

Angel Crisis uses its short span effectively, with Zora Jones shaping six pieces into a cohesive EP and a satisfying conclusion.

Released on Bellyfat on 25 February 2026, the six-track Angel Crisis expands on the two-track single issued a week earlier. The EP works well as a complete sequence, giving its material a coherent setting across a compact running time.

The forty-one-second Intro prepares the move into Beef successfully. Makeup Bag, Pt. 1 follows, and its brief duration feels sufficient for the piece. The opening stretch establishes a convincing relationship between tracks of different lengths.

Diorpaint leads into the title track, which takes the penultimate position. Angel Crisis fits well within the sequence and carries its emotional weight convincingly. The surrounding pieces support it as part of the EP's overall composition.

At 4:27, Tokyo Tears is the longest piece, and the additional room works well at the close. It provides a satisfying ending to a release whose proportions feel considered. Jones keeps the six tracks connected, making the EP's cohesion its clearest strength.
